Traffic safety team hosts first-ever motorcycle safety fair

In observance of the nationally recognized Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month during May, the Lake County Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) is hosting its first-ever motorcycle safety fair on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.

New keg ordinance goes into effect this week in Lake County

On Thursday, May 1, a new keg registration ordinance will go into effect in Lake County, which requires vendors selling kegs for off-premises consumption to place a registration tag on it so the keg can be traced if the contents are used illegally.
